ARMANI IN XL: MORE CHOICE IN THIS LARGE-SCALE OUTLET

I wanted to return to this outlet, because I remembered it as the largest Armani outlet I had seen. And I was again pleasantly surprised: apparel, shoes, accessories, even underwear for men and women are still available in the same elegant airy space.

Here in Vertemate, you find nearly all the Armani brands in a very spacious building, all on one floor and well organized. With EA7 (the sports line), A/X Armani Exchange (geared towards younger customers), a children's collection, Armani Jeans, and the dressier

Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani lines, there is something for all ages at attractive prices.

If you are looking for the iconic stretch jersey tops with a 3D effect, wrinkle-free for ladies and ideal for traveling, you can find them here. I was impressed with beautiful feather weight skirts for special occasions, classic shoes, timeless bags and lovely children's

clothes.

Good to know:

The store issues tax free papers for a tourist tax refund (VAT) to shoppers permanently residing outside the European Union. On a Sunday afternoon in April the outlet was somewhat crowded and the wait at one of two cash registers was about 5 minutes.

You will find plenty of dressing rooms, restrooms, plus convenient free parking outside.

My Tip Nr 1:

There are 2 other Armani outlets not too far away: one in the Foxtown outlet center in Mendrisio, Switzerland, the other in the Fidenza Outlet Village near Fidenza, Italy. Both are next to the motorway and, therefore, easy to reach. However, the selection of products

is smaller due to limited space.

My Tip Nr. 2:

Beware of the “autostrada senza barriera”, a free flow traffic system on the nearby A36. Heavy fines will be sent to your home if you ignore the unusual payment methods. Take a small detour if necessary, or see my post on Driving in Italy here.

Directions:

Coming on the A9/E35 from Lugano, exit Fino Mornasco, take the local road to Fino Mornasco, then the SP35 to Vertemate, approx. 8-10 minutes, 4.2 km.

Coming from Milan on the A9/E35, exit Lomazzo Sud, take the SP32 and SP31 via Bregnano, approx. 10 minutes, 7.3 km.

Avoid the A36, if you are not familiar with the Italian free flow traffic system! (Please see my Tip Nr. 2 above).
