Magical Illuminations In Crowd-Free Italy During The Festive Season:

Late November to January is the time to enjoy delightful nativity scenes on historic boats on the water channel supposedly designed by Leonardo Da Vinci. The yearly event is staged by the Maritime Museum on its floating section between two bridges in front of the museum.

There are restaurants, festive decorations and markets along and near the Canale Leonardesco, the main water channel.
